AJK College’s Tamil Endowment Lecture and Literary Collaboration
AJK College of Arts and Science Coimbatore (Autonomous), an A+ Accredited Institution by NAAC, Department of Languages — Tamil recently organized a captivating Endowment Lecture on Maruthakasi, a revered Tamil poet. The event, held on 09.02.2024, also marked the signing of a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Solvettu Sirpangal Publication, a prominent name in Tamil literature based in Coimbatore.
The lecture, graced by Mr. M. Dinesh, Publisher of Solvettu Sirpangal Publication, delved into Maruthakasi’s traditional songs and life history. Mr. Dinesh’s insightful discourse shed light on the poet’s profound impact on Tamil literature, emphasizing the fusion of traditional elements that resonate deeply with the rich cultural heritage of Tamil Nadu.
